Clear Creek Natural Medicine
I grew up on a cattle ranch in rural South Dakota. The nearest hospital was 50 miles away. Consequently, we relied on the wisdom of the generations before us for knowledge on how to best support the body naturally and heal from common ailments. My greatest influence was my grandmother, who instilled in me an appreciation for food and plants as medicine.
I chose to pursue Naturopathic medicine after watching my father battle cancer. He utilized alternative therapies, in conjunction with surgery and radiation, to support his body’s natural ability to heal during and after treatment. His recovery showed me the potential of integrative medicine in caring for the whole person while managing illness in the body. This experience led to my desire to help others going through the healing process, regardless of the diagnosis.
I earned my Naturopathic medicine degree at National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon. Additionally, I received training in Biotherapuetic Drainage, Craniosacral Therapy, and Somatic Re-education.
I believe when we work with our bodies and nature, rather than against them, we can achieve real, lasting results. The human body has an incredible ability to heal when given the right support. If you are ready to experience first hand the power of natural medicine, I would welcome the opportunity to be a part of your journey towards health.
