s a naturopathic physician I am trained to handle any health concern as a general practitioner. However I specialize in the treatment of complex chronic diseases (autoimmunity, allergy, cancer, etc), digestive issues, and hormonal imbalances. I am passionate about uncovering the underlying causes of disease and providing lasting health solutions that fit into my patients’ busy lifestyles!
I provide the communities I work in with a different option: a doctor that listens and works to understand rather than just to eliminate symptoms. In clinical practice I use the world’s best technologies to assess whole health and combined with a focus on nutrition and botanical supplementation.
After graduating from University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine I was selected for a competitive residency position at the Center of Excellence in Generative Medicine that was focused largely on genetic analysis and microbiome analysis as well as nutrigenomics. This gave me the unique opportunity to work alongside the world’s leading expert in glycobiology and creator of the “Genotype Diet”, Dr. Peter D’Adamo. Since then, I’ve dedicated my time to researching and educating in the field of personalized medicine.
I currently serve as adjunct faculty for the Maryland University of Integrative health where I teach “Epigenetics and Nutrigenomics” and “Functional and Integrative Nutrition in Immune Health”. I also will teach “Generative Medicine” at the University of Bridgeport College of Naturopathic Medicine in the fall.
When I’m not “down the rabbit hole” of research and problem solving, I enjoy spending time with my son and his brother (our dog), dancing, laughing (best medicine!), vegetable gardening, and trying my hand at cooking the healthy recipes I prescribe and share in my blog!
