Dr. Katie developed a passion for Natural Medicine while studying Psychology and Chemistry as an undergraduate student at Virginia Tech. She pursued this interest and received her Doctor of Naturopathy degree at the National College of Natural Medicine (NCNM) in Portland, Oregon, the oldest Naturopathic medical school in the country.
During her four years of study at NCNM Dr. Katie completed three years of mentorship with Dr. Kimberly Windstar in women's health and in endocrinology. Diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in college, Katie is uniquely able to understand the challenges associated with chronic diseases such as diabetes. She is passionate about providing good care for individuals with diabetes and other chronic diseases and brings this passion to her practice today where she truly believes that individuals with chronic disease can live long happy lives.
