Practice name
Emerald City Naturopathic Clinic
Dr. Stefanie Karn LaSalle earned her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University, where she trained as a primary care physician. Before answering her calling as a naturopathic physician, Dr. LaSalle received her Bachelor of Science from University of Connecticut in Business and Technology followed by a career in finance. She was born and raised in Durango, Colorado.
Dr. LaSalle chose to practice at Emerald City Naturopathic Clinic, as it embodies primary care medicine rooted in traditional naturopathic medicine. Her passion in practice is treating the root cause of disease by restoring the body’s natural balance, rather than solely treating symptoms.
In addition to primary care, her clinical interests include digestive health, women’s health, environmental medicine and constitutional homeopathy.
Dr. LaSalle’s passion for natural medicine developed during her tenure in finance after helping heal her husband of Lyme disease when conventional medicine failed. After healing her own eczema and environmental allergies with dietary changes, she became convinced that the root cause of many diseases begins in the gut. Growing up in the beautiful Rocky Mountains instilled a love of nature and a keen interest in the power of botanical medicine.
In her free time, Dr. LaSalle loves the active life of spending time in nature camping, hiking and exploring with her husband. She also enjoys yoga, tennis, bicycling and reading. Dr. LaSalle relishes novel experiences and learning about new cultures through travel, cuisine and the arts.
