I’m an avid soccer player and am heavily rooted in Bozeman’s soccer community. I play soccer year round, hold a national “D” coaching license with the United States Soccer Federation and have coached soccer to a variety of groups aged 12-17 years in Montana’s largest soccer academy for the last 9 years: the Bozeman Blitzz FC. Furthermore, I run an adult indoor soccer/futsal league for 7 months in the wintertime, captain two adult soccer teams during summertime, compete in an indoor turf league, and am head coach for Bozeman High School’s Lady Hawk’s sophomore soccer team in the fall for the last 4 years. Other activities include skiing, mountain biking, and rock climbing with my lovely wife and two cool kids.
Having had the good fortune of traveling extensively throughout the world in my younger days, at least once if not twice a year I keep returning to one of most favorite places on earth found in the Canyonlands surrounding Moab, Utah. I love going to the area around Moab to rejuvenate, cleanse, and get closer to the divine found in the natural world. The desert of Utah is special, sacred, and healing to my soul. No matter how many times I frequent the area in my hippy style Volkswagen pop top camper, I simply can’t get enough of the beauty and ambience of the area. My favorite quote is from J.R.R. Tolkien who authored the Lord of the Rings trilogy and the Hobbit: "Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost."
Furthermore I have involvement in a handful of entrepreneurial business’s related to manufacturing, commercial and residential real estate development, and recently refurbished a 33,000 square foot building in the heart of my home town, Rapid City that houses 11 different businesses, including a craft beer brewery, coffeeshop, restaurant, and others
