Description

We live in a world where a woman's worth is too often equated to her outward appearance and thinness is valued above all else, including health. It’s no wonder why so many of us have a strained and tumultuous relationship with our bodies, food and exercise. But women are so amazing and are so much more than just a body. I am incredibly passionate about providing body-positive healthcare to women so they can be their fierce, incredible, authentic and powerful selves. Through tools, like intuitive eating and homeopathy, my clients completely transform their health. They learn to ditch the diets, enjoy food and eating together and love their body leaving them with more time, money and energy to put towards more important things like advancing their career, raising kids and changing the world. I knew I wanted to be a doctor since the age of 3 years old, so when I attended the University of Northern Colorado (UNC) for my undergraduate degree, perusing the pre-med route was a no-brainer. However, when I began shadowing doctors, I realized the conventional medical field might not be the best fit for me. After the brief visit with the patients and a quick prescription, I felt that the patients often left with more questions than they came in with. I knew medicine had more to offer. After graduating from UNC in 2009 with my bachelor's degree majoring in biomedical sciences and minoring in instrumental chemistry, I decided to take some time off to find my true calling. I moved to Breckenridge, Colorado to enjoy all this beautiful state has to offer. It wasn't long before the calling to medicine became too strong to ignore. I began searching for a more holistic approach to healthcare and finally found naturopathic medicine. Naturopathic Medicine had everything that I had been looking for. Within a year I was a student at Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA. It was here that I was introduced to intuitive eating, which changed my life completely. After experience this for myself, I knew I wanted my patients to experience the power of intuitive eating as well. While in naturopathic medicine, I also found my passion for homeopathy, women’s health and working with women with type 2 diabetes. When I graduated from Bastyr in 2018, I combined all of these passions and founded Terrain Integrative Medicine. Aside from medicine, I live in Littleton, CO with my husband, two children and our two dogs. We enjoy being outside and enjoying all that this wonderful state has to offer, especially in the winter when we get snowboard in the beautiful champagne powder of the Rockies.
