May Y. Eng, ND received her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Bastyr University of Natural Health Sciences and holds a Bachelor degree in Molecular Biology & Biochemistry from Wesleyan University. She has been a practicing Naturopathic Physician in Seattle, WA since 2002. In her previous life, Dr. Eng had worked for major pharmaceutical companies in drug development. She has also worked in basic research labs for Yale University. Dr. Eng uses her scientific expertise and her naturopathic training to provide patients with effective, science based treatments.
Philosophy: “Vis Medicatrix Naturae – the Healing Power of Nature” – I believe that our bodies have the intrinsic ability to heal itself if given the appropriate environment for healing. I take a holistic, integrative approach to health care that incorporates dietary modifications, stress management, exercise, bio-identical hormones, herbs and supplements to attain and maintain optimal health.
As a primary care physician, Dr. Eng is a family doctor who addresses all your wellness needs, from annual physical exams, GYN Exams & PAPs, and well child visits. As a general practitioner, she is skilled at addressing chronic ailments that plague our society, such as fatigue, insomnia, heartburn, allergies, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes. Dr. Eng has a special interest in hormone problems (thyroid, adrenal, female & male hormones) and women’s health (menstrual, fertility & menopause issues).
