Dr. Kirsten Carle, a Naturopathic Doctor who specializes in the use of natural therapies, including diet, stress management and other lifestyle modifications as well as nutritional supplements, herbal medicine and homeopathy to address a wide array of health issues. My holistic approach focuses on the person rather than the disease, helping people uncover and address their unique obstacles to optimal health and well-being.
I received my training at the National University of Natural Medicine, a four-year postgraduate naturopathic medical school. My career began at an integrative medical clinic, where I continued informal clinical training through collaboration with medical doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, acupuncturists and massage therapists. I am licensed to practice naturopathic medicine in Vermont and worked there for over five years, first as a primary care provider and later specializing in tick-borne disease and other chronic complex health conditions. Because New York does not yet license naturopathic doctors, I am unable to medically diagnose or treat, order conventional lab tests, perform physical exams or prescribe medications in this state, but I use my naturopathic knowledge to provide targeted health guidance to individuals regarding natural therapies. I also collaborate with the integrative nurse practitioners at synRG Integrative and refer to them when needed.
