or as long as I can remember I’ve wanted to be a doctor. As an only child I spent a lot of time by myself exploring and discovering. Childhood play usually involved caring for sick stuffed animals, trying to mend injured insects I found outside, playing midwife, and compounding potions from flowers, leaves, and roots.
When I discovered Naturopathic Medicine in high school, I knew this was my path. After graduating and practicing for a few years, I felt that something was missing. I was having success treating people, but they weren’t improving as quickly or as completely as I would like.
Once I was introduced to Osteopathy, I found my true calling. The beauty of Osteopathy is that the body tells you what it needs to heal if you just listen. In the summer of 2018, I experienced a concussion. I don’t know where I’d be without Osteopathic and Naturopathic treatment. This experience solidified for me that I want to work with those affected by chronic pain and brain injuries. As one of the first practitioners integrating Naturopathy and Osteopathy, I offer a unique perspective on health. I feel extremely fortunate to work in a profession that I love, with people who inspire me.
