Dr. Oldfield, naturopathic physician, is licensed in WA State, USA. She splits her time between Nelson BC where she lives with her family and Seattle where she takes care of her patients. She treats patients at West Seattle Natural Medicine Clinic which she has owned since 2002. She grew up in a small rural town outside of Seattle Washington. She graduated from naturopathic medical School in 2000. She and her family decided they’d had enough of the city and relocated with her family to Nelson BC in 2017. Her husband runs Counter Cultured Foods, an organic fermented foods business in Salmo using produce grown by local farmers.
She completed her undergraduate degree at University of Washington then attended medical school at Bastyr University.
Dr. Oldfield travels back to Seattle to see patients where she is licensed. She is values the relationships she develops with her patients. She works with each patient to improve their health by addressing underlying conditions that are stopping them from achieving their full health potential. She believes in designing an individualized treatment plan that addresses immediate concerns and looks at long-term health goals.
Dr. Oldfield has many years of experience with women’s health, menopause, thyroid conditions, digestive disorders, anxiety, sleep disorders, food and environmental allergies. She also treats patients with mold related illnesses. She utilizes various forms of physical medicine with her patients if indicated. She was a cooking instructor for many years at her local health food store, teaching classes on subjects such as balancing hormones and managing thyroid conditions.
In her free time, Dr. Oldfield enjoys whole foods cooking, hiking, running, spending time with her family, reading, gardening and camping.
