Practice name
Mountain-River Naturopathic Clinic
Dr. Justin Pollack, ND (naturopathic doctor) earned his ND from Bastyr University in Seattle in 1999, and completed an accredited residency in family practice at NUNM in Portland, OR. Along with his work at the clinic, he is an associate professor of undergraduate science and nutrition classes at Colorado Mountain College. Two decades in practice have given him a love of helping people with digestive issues, sensitivity/allergy immune and inflammatory issues, chronic disease, endocrine energy/mood imbalances. He also loves assisting people with natural cardiovascular disease prevention, and wellness check-ups. He recently became a tick-borne chronic illness, "Lyme-literate" doctor.
Philosophy: I became a naturopathic doctor because of my love of people and the natural world. Each person must find their own state of balance, and I love my work of supporting people to take responsibility for their own unique well-being. I am guided by your story, take the time to hear it, and ask "how can I be useful to you?" I utilize evidence-based and functional testing to guide me to the root cause of illness whenever possible. My healing methods follow the Hippocratic maxim "first do no harm", and involve removing obstacles to health such as toxicity, infection, allergy, and empowering the "vis medicatrix naturae" (intelligent self-healing ability of the body) utilizing the least invasive methods possible. That usually means dietary and lifestyle therapies, and includes the least amount of herbal, nutrient, or blended supplements/medicines necessary. I sometimes employ BioSET, a bio-energetic desensitization technique, when working with people who have sensitivities and/or allergies.
Both doctors are registered Naturopathic Doctors (ND) in the State of Colorado, and are active members of the Colorado Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CoAND).
