Sage Integrative Medicine Clinic
Dr. Julieann Murella is a naturopathic physician and licensed acupuncturist. She received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Acupuncture degree through Bastyr University. She completed a two-year residency at Holistique Medical Center in Bellevue, WA. Being a Naturopathic Physician and East Asian Medicine Practitioner, she enjoys combining both Eastern and Western Medicine approaches as she feels it allows her to offer more to her patients.
She discovered naturopathic medicine working at a community health clinic as an AmeriCorps member and medical assistant. There she learned the major need for preventative medicine and about the lack of holistic medical providers in healthcare. In order to diverge from conventional medicine, she sought to become a naturopathic physician. As a naturopathic physician, she strives to address the root cause of disease, listen intently to her patients, and treat with a holistic approach. Her passions are primary care, chronic disease, women’s health, gastrointestinal disorders, physical and sports medicine, regenerative injections, and IV therapy. Dr. Murella believes that optimum health is a balance of strong physical health, a well-balanced diet, hormone harmony, restful sleep, and emotional well-being.
She is trained in various modalities such as acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, visceral manipulation, kinesio taping, biocranial technique, trigger point therapy, naturopathic manipulation, regenerative injections, and IV therapy. She has provided first aid and sports medicine at large sporting events such as the Seattle Marathon, the Emerald City Volleyball Tournament, the Gigantic Bike Festival, and the US Gaelic Football Olympics. And lastly, with her premedical studies in biochemistry, she has a deeper understanding in supporting biochemical pathways.
In her free time, Dr. Murella enjoys hiking, traveling, cooking, exploring new cuisines, exercising, and hanging out with friends and family.
