Description

Dr. Jane Litsey is a Naturopathic Physician practicing in Seattle, Washington. Her expertise is uncovering the root of WHY someone is experiencing disease - rather than simply treating the disease itself. She empowers patients to ask questions and go deeper in understanding the meaning of disease and why it has shown up in their lives. She whole-heartedly believes the body has a tremendous potential to heal and regenerate itself when obstacles are removed and the needs of the system are restored. She also loves educating her patients on the nuts and bolts of how the body and mind work in ways that are easy to understand.

Dr. Litsey achieved her undergraduate degree in Human Physiology with a minor in Mathematics from the University of Colorado at Boulder. During her time there she worked as a research assistant studying the nervous system and is published in the Journal of Physiology. As a lifelong athlete, she became interested in the relationships of the body after a series of sports injuries. Her desire to optimize human performance led to the study of human nutrition, soil health and a brief career at a startup software company helping the food industry automate quality assurance.

Subsequently, she completed her doctorate degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University, a renowned leader in natural health education. Her clinical interests include how the mind and body interact to create an environment for health or disease. She believes the human mind is perhaps the most untapped resource in medicine today. Dr. Litsey emphasizes that mind and body are not separate but a continuum - influencing and shaping one another.

Her own journey with mold illness, chronic pain and autoimmune disease led her to explore how the relationship with ourselves shapes mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health. Through a combination of breath work, meditation, and embodying her authentic self she was able to reverse and heal her Hashimotos thyroiditis, and chronic pain. She is here to help others navigate their own unique paths to healing and to discover a life of fulfillment and joy.
