Dr. JAMES PENDLETON

Dr. James Pendleton’s 18 years of experience focuses on a more holistic form of medicine, prescribing medications when necessary, but relying more on therapeutic nutrition, herbal medicine, and lifestyle change. Dr. Pendleton is a licensed primary care physician specializing in a naturopathic approach to family medicine. With over 18 years experience, he integrates the best of both conventional and complimentary healing. Dr. Pendleton is a licensed physician with full prescriptive authority for primary care in Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, and Washington State.

Dr. Pendleton is based in Seattle, and is a provider with most insurance plans in Washington, now including Medicaid (Apple Health)! For those outside of the Seattle area, Dr. James offers health consultations by Skype and phone. These consultations are not covered by insurance and are not a substitute for a visit with your primary care physician.

Dr. James has nurtured a family practice in Seattle, directed a VIP medical center in Abu Dhabi UAE, and managed the nutritional product development for Nature’s Secret/Irwin Naturals in Los Angeles. He also teaches college sciences as an assistant professor and has authored several books.

Dr. James has lived and worked throughout the world, combining his passions for traditional healing practices and ethno botanical research. He received his medical training at Bastyr University, a prestigious U.S.-accredited post graduate 4-year medical school that integrates both conventional and science-based alternative approaches to healing.

Prior to medical school Dr. James earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Florida Atlantic University, after serving for several years as a US Army paramedic.
