Ruddy, ND is a national board-certified Naturopathic Doctor who completed his 4-year medical education at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine in Tempe, AZ. In addition to other main therapeutic modalities, he received extensive training in Mind-Body Medicine and Homeopathy from some of the leading physicians in the field during the his two-year clinical rotations at the Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center. In addition, Dr. Ruddy holds a Physician Certification in Restorative Medicine (AARM).
Dr. Ruddy's clinical areas of focus include mood/affective disorders, metabolic and digestive health, cardiovascular health, hormonal balancing, rheumatologic and other autoimmune conditions, as well as various chronic health issues such as hypertension, anxiety, insomnia, migraine and chronic fatigue. He previously completed his undergraduate study at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning his bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering and subsequently working in the field of molecular biology. He is easygoing and light-hearted when interacting with other people yet serious and dedicated in his care and the pursuit of his patients' optimal health and well-being. In his downtime, Dr. Ruddy enjoys music, swimming, Bikram yoga and reading various books on medicine, psychology and other human conditions.
Dr. Ruddy believes that self-empowerment is key in ensuring the best possible health outcome in each individual, and that every therapeutic modality offered to his patients has to entail the basic tenets of Naturopathic Medicine: Stimulating the healing power of Nature, Addressing the underlying Cause, Treating the Whole person, Doctor as Teacher, and Prevention as the best possible Cure.
