Dr. Kaltman is a licensed naturopathic physician, epidemiologist, and public health consultant who specializes in reproductive health. She has worked in the healthcare field for over 25 years. She earned her doctorate in naturopathic medicine from the National College of Natural Medicine in Portland, Oregon and her Master’s in Public Health from the University of California at Berkeley.
As a leader in the reproductive health field, she has worked with organizations such as Upstream USA, Planned Parenthood, and the Reproductive Health Access Project. Dr. Kaltman is experienced working with diverse populations in community and public health settings. For many years she served as a communicable disease epidemiologist directing disease surveillance programs in city and state health departments. She is committed to public health and serves in several teaching, training, and clinical roles.
Dr. Kaltman currently sees patients as a Women’s Health Specialist on the Gynecology Team at ZOOM+Care in Portland, Oregon. Her clinical interests include family planning, adolescent medicine, care for the LGBTQ+ community, and menopause. She has earned the esteemed North American Menopause Society (NAMS) credential, NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP). She also serves as a physician at Trillium Family Services, Oregon’s largest provider of mental health services for youth. Dr. Kaltman provides reproductive health services for at-risk youth at Trillium’s pediatric residential treatment facility.
As a Clinician Trainer for Upstream USA, Dr. Kaltman works on Upstream’s national campaign to reduce unintended pregnancy by improving access to contraception. She develops and leads trainings for clinicians on evidence-based best practices for contraceptive care. She also serves on the Clinical Faculty for Merck, providing training on the Nexplanon contraceptive implant. She is a board member of NARAL Pro-Choice Oregon. Dr. Kaltman is dedicated to decreasing barriers to healthcare access in underserved communities.
