Dr. Szymczak (pronounced Sim-zack) was born and raised in northern MN. In 2005, he completed his undergraduate degree in Pre-Medical Studies and Fine Arts at the University of Minnesota-Duluth on Lake Superior. He spent the early years of his career working in the mental health field as a children’s counselor, supervisor, and therapeutic foster parent. He went on to complete the medical program at Bastyr University in Seattle, WA, acquiring experiences in various settings; including community health clinics, Evergreen Hospital, The Betty Ford Center, Seattle Children’s Hospital, Bastyr’s Integrative Oncology Research Center, Parkinson’s research, and more.
Dr. Szymczak has also completed a primary care residency with a pediatric emphasis and previously owned/operated an independent clinic in Minnesota Aside from medical practice, Dr. Szymczak has a very active family life. He is often adventuring in the great outdoors with his wife and four children. Don’t be surprised if you meet them on the trail, in the woods, on the water, or rock climbing. You’ll also find them frequenting the local library, farmers market, and community events.
