I grew up in the Red Rock Country of Sedona, Arizona, where I was first introduced to integrative medicine models. Throughout high school I fostered and encouraged a sense environmental stewardship and community service and started on my path towards medicine. The University of Arizona gave me a great foundation in science and critical thinking with the pre-requisites for medical training. I chose a Naturopathic medical school, Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, for the emphasis on treating the whole versus the symptoms, and the many options of using foods and plants to heal chronic conditions. Naturopathic Medicine is not only my profession but encompasses my life; I practice it with my patients and with myself.
I believe in balance. My passion for mindful, nutritious cooking is countered by my great love for any form of fried potato. In my personal life I embrace the challenges of healthy living, I try every protocol I recommend to my patients. I can relate with my clients as I am also on a health journey and have daily battles with my sweet tooth.
In my free time I enjoy playing with recipes, outdoor concerts, reading fiction, heated yoga, traveling to new places, striving for sustainable living, spending time with my family and spoiling my puppy.
