Dr. Caryn Potenza was born and raised in New Jersey, and moved to Washington State in 1996. She has been practicing in the Spokane community for 15 years.
Prior to opening Cedar Natural Healthcare in 2016, she was a practicing physician at a Naturopathic Clinic in the District of Spokane.
In addition to Primary Care, Dr. Potenza’s areas of clinical specialty include nutrition - specifically a food intolerance evaluation, bio-identical hormone replacement, Wilson’s T3 protocol, weight management, chronic and acute health conditions, breast thermography interpretation, and musculoskeletal problems.
Dr. Potenza attended the University of Kentucky for her first 2 years of college, then received her Bachelor of Science from the Evergreen State College in Olympia WA, in 1997.
Dr. Potenza began her post-graduate education immediately thereafter, and graduated from Bastyr in 2002 with her degree as a Naturopathic Physician. She moved to Spokane to do her residency and began working as a full time physician at a Naturopathic Clinic in 2003. She has her license as a Massage Practitioner, became a certified Bowen practioner in 2004, and received her certification in Wilson’s T3 Protocol in 2007.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Potenza loves spending time with her family and friends, and she is an avid animal lover. She is passionate about swimming and exercise and enjoys healthful cooking, gardening and reading.
