Description

Dr. Anna Martin has a mobile, integrative healthcare practice that serves the Greater Puget Sound Region. She believes in empowering patients to take charge of their own health. She works in depth with patients in need of a functional medicine approach, physical medicine, neurological rehabilitation, as well as those with neurological degeneration and its prevention. She also focuses on ADHD, acute and chronic disease, acute and chronic pain, men's and women’s health, nutrition and weight loss, physiotherapy, and environmental medicine. Dr. Martin is very passionate about working with those who suffer from cognitive decline, Alzheimer's disease and dementia as she has lost several family members to these illnesses. Additionally, she works as a whole family care provider treating infants to the elderly. Dr. Martin uses a functional medicine approach to work with the body as a whole system to promote healing. Using the principals of naturopathic medicine, she helps each patient customize their treatment plans to reach their health, life and fitness goals.

Dr. Martin graduated from Bastyr University with a doctorate in naturopathic medicine, where she was trained in providing healthcare for the whole family ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics in conventional medicine as well as physical medicine, homeopathy, botanicals, nutrition, and other holistic therapies. During her time at Bastyr, Dr. Martin took on many leadership roles including: president of the physical medicine club, president of the activator club, and vice president of the emergency medicine club. She also founded a clinical neurology research group, the Neuro Think Tank, which brought together integrated practitioners from around the globe to work together to improve patient outcomes in clinical neurology. Dr. Martin is committed to lifelong learning and research. She has completed extensive post-doctoral training in clinical neurology. She is also a certified level 3 Stecco FM (fascial) practitioner, certified in the neurological reprogramming movement system Revolution in Motion, a certified kinesiotape (KT) practitioner, advanced certified in the Activator Method and has advanced training in environmental medicine, IV therapy, Physical Medicine, prolotherapy, and biofeedback. Dr. Martin also received her Bachelor of Science degree in advanced research in environmental toxicology and epidemiology.

Dr. Martin firmly believes in the six principals of naturopathic medicine:
First Do No Harm - primum non nocere
Discover and Treat the Cause, Not Just the Effect - tolle causam
Treat the Whole Person - tolle totum
The Physician is a Teacher - docere
Prevention is the best "cure" - praevenire
The Healing Power of Nature - vis medicatrix naturae

Dr. Martin uses these six principals as well as the safest and least invasive treatments possible.
She listens to all of her patients, and works with them to create unique comprehensive treatment plans specific to their lifestyle needs.

Dr. Martin is an avid member of several professional organizations including the American Neurological Association, Alzheimer's Association, American Association of Naturopathic Physicians, Washington Association of Naturopathic Physicians (Board of Directors), OSSMIG, and the City of Kent Chamber of Commerce. She also founded the clinical neurology research group, the Neuro Think Tank, which brings together integrated practitioners from around the globe to work together to improve patient outcomes in clinical neurology.

When she is not researching or working with patients, she enjoys reading, spending time with her large family, weightlifting, movement and fitness, camping, being outdoors and loving life. She is currently training for the Tough Mudder classic in Seattle, WA.
