FAIRBANKS FAMILY WELLNESS
Dr. Amy Williamson founded Fairbanks Family Wellness nearly 11 years ago and treats the whole family, from infants to elders for most health concerns, laboratory examinations, and physical exams. Dr. Williamson also specializes in the naturopathic diagnosis of hormone imbalance and treatment of allergies, including asthma, eczema, dermatitis, sinusitis, seasonal allergies, chemical sensitivity, and digestive disorders. Dr. Williamson has also received specialized training in the Arvigo Technique of Mayan Abdominal Therapy, which is a method of gentle, noninvasive uterine adjustment that can assist women with menstrual and fertility concerns.
Dr. Amy Williamson started her career as a healer 30 years ago as an RN. She worked in diverse settings ranging from cardiac intensive care to nursing home care. 22 years ago she took a life-changing position as an RN in a naturopathic medical clinic here in Fairbanks. She quickly realized that patients in a natural medicine setting were improving in health and vitality instead of deteriorating and receiving more and more medications and surgeries. Inspired by the healing she witnessed, she attended Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine, which is a four year, full-time accredited medical school located in Tempe, Arizona.
